Join us June 4th for our first Annual Sunny Smash CoEd Softball Tournament benefiting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Garden Center Services.
This will be a real, live, in-person, zoom-free, event! Get your team roster together now to get in on the tournament or just mark your calendar to enjoy some sunshine and root on the players. We are so excited that this is Garden Center’s first event right in the heart of Mt. Greenwood, a community that has been so welcoming to us!
We will have fun raffles and plenty of snacks and drinks. From 11-2 our friends at Calabria Italian Imports will offer Italian Beef Sandwiches, Hotdogs, Subs & Homemade chips (FYI - Calabria is able to accept cash or Venmo only), 12-4 our friends at OHANA Ice & Treats will offer cold treats (cash & credit).

TIME: 8am - First game starts. Tournament end around 5pm

PARKING
Parking is available on the side streets around the field; Central Park Ave., 111th St. and 112th Pl. You may also park in the parking lot off 111th St. near the Mt. Greenwood Park. Please leave the Central Park Ave. lot open for those who need accessible parking. See map below.
SNACKS & DRINKS
Garden Center will operate a concession stand stocked with water, gatorade, soft drinks, and snacks. Beer and hard seltzer is available for a donation. Show an ID to receive a 21-Verified wristband for the day. (Consession stand will accept cash/credit).
LUNCH & OTHER REFRESHMENTS
Calabria on Wheels - will be serving: Italian beef sandwiches, hotdogs, subs & homemade chips from 11am to 2pm. (Calabria is able to accept cash & venmo payments only)
Ohana Italian Ice - will have shaved ices from 12pm to 4pm. (Ohana accepts cash/credit)
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are available in the building as well as portable options outside. Accessible bathrooms are available in both locations.
RAFFLES & SPLIT THE POT
We will have raffles throughout the day and a split-the-pot drawing at the end of the event. Raffles include prizes valued from $25 - $75 including a martini shaker set, an outdoor speaker package, tons of gift cards, and more! You DO NOT need to be present to win. (Raffles may be purchased with cash or credit)
SEATING
There are no spectator stands at the fields. There are a limited number of picnic tables in the concession area. Please bring lawn chairs/picnic blankets for seating.
